To debug a PLC program without I/O module, I set I/Os as 'no equipment'. Then, I tried to set input contact (X) using switch of MONITOUCH. However, the PLC input did not operate. Why?

Answer

In Standard loader, to access the input memory from MONITOUCH, cancel the I/O group setting of the input specified as 'no equipment.'
If the input specified as 'no equipment' is registered in an I/O group, access to the input memory (X) from MONITOUCH is ignored because I/O refresh is executed in the PLC. The output memory is not affected.

*1   When you cancel 'no equipment' setting for actual operation, be sure to make I/O group setting.
Without I/O group setting, I/O modules do not operate.
*2   In Expert (D300win), you do not need to cancel the I/O group setting of I/Os specified as 'no equipment.'
