Answer

Possible causes are as follows:
1)  The baud rate differs between the PLC and the target device.
2)  The stop bit differs between the PLC and the target device.
      For example, the stop bit is set to 2 bits, however, the received stop bit is 1 bit.
3)  The waveform is deformed by noise.
